From her earliest memories, Kasandra has held a pencil and attempted to draw the world and people around her. During high school she decided to become a serious student of art, and would go on to major in art at Greenville College, in Greenville, Illinois. She would graduate with a major in English and a minor in art, but her passion and love for sketching and painting would only grow with time.

For 40 years, Kasandra worked in the area of public relations and marketing. Her photographs have been used in corporations, with colleges and universities, and on numerous brochures and websites. Photography would be her creative outlet for years, until she moved from the Chicago area to her family farm in Pulaski County, Kentucky in 2004.

Since 2004, she has pursued painting, first with watercolor and gouache, and most recently with oil. She has exhibited at the Carnegie Community Arts Center, Somerset, KY; Gallery Hop, Lexington, KY; Gallery Hop, Corbin, KY; Artwalk, London, KY; the Apple ‘N Pork Festival, Clinton, Illinois; and two consecutive years at KY Crafted, Lexington, KY (juried by the KY Arts Council).

Kasandra is a member of the Sheltowee Artisans, a juried membership, as well as the Plein Aire Artists of Central Kentucky (Danville), and the Plein Aire Artists in Lexington, KY.

Her home studio is located in her grandparents’ farmhouse, on 30 acres of rolling hills, a pond, a long timberline and creeks. She also has a studio at Artists Attic, 401 W. Main Street, #401, Lexington, KY.  She shares the Artists Attic studio with well-known Kentucky artist, Peggy Sherry.

Kasandra also is delighted to join the many talented artists displayed at Art of Danville, a gallery on Main Street in Danville, KY.
